Claude AI introduces Cowork plugin updates with enterprise customization and new connectors

Enterprise plugin management and customization
Claude AI's Cowork plugin updates introduce enterprise-focused features for managing and customizing Claude's capabilities across organizations. Administrators can now create private plugin marketplaces to distribute plugins internally, giving them control over which tools are available to different teams. A unified "Customize" menu consolidates control over plugins, skills, and connectors in one interface.
New connectors and plugin categories
The update adds connectors for several business tools including Google Workspace, Docusign, Apollo, Clay, Outreach, Similarweb, MSCI, FactSet, WordPress, and Harvey. Additional plugins come from Slack by Salesforce, LSEG, S&P Global, Common Room, and Tribe AI.
Claude has also created plugins across multiple business functions to demonstrate use cases and help users build their own solutions. These include plugins for HR, design, engineering, operations, financial analysis, investment banking, equity research, private equity, and wealth management.
Excel and PowerPoint integration preview
Currently in research preview, Claude can now work across Excel and PowerPoint end-to-end. This capability allows users to run analysis in Excel and build presentations in PowerPoint within the same workflow. The feature is available for all paid plans on both Mac and Windows platforms.
