OpenClaw v2026.9.3 ships with cleaner update recovery, faster session reconnects, and live browser viewing — plus revocable conversation sharing and cloud repository starts. This release includes 1,844 pull requests, 40 direct commits, and contributions from 190 people.

Key updates in v2026.9.3

  • Update recovery and faster reconnects: Core and plugin updates are rehearsed in an isolated copy before touching your running installation. After activation, OpenClaw verifies the running version, service health, plugins, and channel readiness. If any check fails, it follows the supported repair or rollback path — and restoring the previous installation is reported as recovery, not success.
  • Preserved UI state: Loaded panels survive connection interruptions and refresh when the connection returns. Suspended tabs can recover missed update notices without losing the current page or stored draft. Interrupted work, follow-ups, and attachments can resume after an update; completed child results are held until the parent conversation recovers.
  • Live browser watching: The Browser panel now streams the agent's page loading, scrolling, and responding in real time instead of waiting for screenshots. Click, type, scroll, Annotate, and Inspect controls still work. Streaming requires a compatible browser connection; paired-computer browsers and Chrome MCP existing-session profiles fall back to screenshots.
  • Revocable read-only share links: Conversation creators and Gateway admins can publish a read-only link to a conversation's text. The shared page excludes tool activity, reasoning, files, images, and interactive widgets — just the written conversation. You can revoke the link, but you can't recall copies others have saved.
  • Search saved meeting transcripts: The meeting library now offers combined search across saved notes and full transcripts. Capture sources are managed from Communications settings. Exporting a selected meeting includes the full transcript even if a search filter is active.
  • Start repository sessions in the cloud: Repository work can start directly on a managed cloud runner or paired computer, bypassing the local clone. The remote runner handles checkout and setup. Checkpoints preserve accepted changes when you stop the session; they aren't a full Git history or backup of unaccepted work. Moving execution back to the Gateway is an explicit choice.
  • Skills stay with their agent: A skill learned by an agent now belongs to that agent's Skill Workshop, so changing workspaces doesn't move the skill collection. Installed skills and suggestions awaiting review get separate views.
  • Mac app native browser tabs: Links opened in the Mac app appear in native Browser-panel tabs that persist across conversation switches. These are your tabs, separate from the Agent browser tabs your agent controls.
  • Easier provider account management: Models settings lets admins inspect account health, change supported account priority for an agent, and sign out of one account without disconnecting others.
