OpenClaw v2026.9.9 Ships GPT-6.1 Sol, Claude Haiku 5.5, and Update Recovery Fixes
OpenClaw v2026.9.9 is out on the stable channel as a patch release. It ships new model support alongside a batch of fixes for problems that can interrupt day-to-day use — failed updates, dropped replies, and scheduled jobs colliding with active conversations.
New models
- GPT-6.1 Sol now appears in the Codex model list. Using it requires an eligible account and a compatible Codex setup — it is not available to every install out of the box.
- Claude Haiku 5.5 is supported through both the Anthropic API and the Claude CLI. The
haikualias now resolves to 5.5, and adaptive thinking is enabled by default.
Fixes in this release
- Update recovery. Better recovery after failed updates, plus fixes for false maintenance warnings and several failures on Windows, Docker, and package-manager update paths.
- Missing iMessage replies. OpenClaw could finish generating an answer without actually sending it. That is fixed.
- Scheduled job timeouts. An old scheduled job timing out no longer interrupts a newer conversation in the same session.
- Chat scrolling. Reading position is preserved while browsing earlier messages, and the view keeps following new replies when you are already at the bottom.

September stable upgrades retain the shared data format used by 2026.9.8. If you have already run an October beta, that beta may have converted your data to a newer format — in that case 9.9 cannot open, downgrade, or repair it. Check which channel your data has touched before pulling this release.
One scheduling caveat remains unresolved: interrupted one-shot jobs can run again after a restart, even if their first message already arrived. Duplicate delivery is still possible for those jobs.
Scope of the release
v2026.9.9 includes 112 PRs and 69 direct commits from 90 contributors, covering fixes, reports, testing, and investigation.
